It's fun, i mean, those are your alarms for waking up ? I'm a metalhead, but i need a very soft song so i can wake up peacefully, an acoustic song. it seems just a bunch of songs that got the word "Wake up" in the songs Ahaha !

This ls all for fun..I gave up on songs as alarms ages ago. Simply because I ended hating every song I put on ūüėÖ

i once had chainsaw sounds as an alarm... once.
    Krieger91
Ever had a rooster?  I now have the lightest thing my phone has to offer. I spent five years of high school getting up too late to go with the loudest alarm possible, and the lightest ones have changed everything.

I remember using Lamb of God's Ruin as alarm and... it was one of the worst decision I've ever made, it surely woke me up but it put me on a bad mood waking so suddenly

Trust me buddy, choosing radiohead's no surprises as your alarm song, doesn't make you a pussy.
    CiReMaN
Radiohead, no surprises should have been on the list, true. I also like the classical tune #11 -   [h]MORNING (PEER GYNT), DE GRIEG[/h]

Woke up with that for a few years, was great.  But it created a strange thing : I can't listen to that song without hatting it a little bit. And it pretty much does that with every song I once had as wake up song. I ended up using standard alarms on my phone to avoid "killing" some songs that I really liked.

My top three Jams for waking up: 1. Stevie Wonder - Superstition 2. White Zombie - Thunder kiss 65 or More Human Than Human 3. Arcade fire - Wake up I didn't nominate because, well, I'm an asshole

My Girl You wake up to the line "I've got sunshine on a cloudy day", it's really hard to have a bad day from there on out.
    janko.the.rocke
I had SOADs Cubert as an alarm for quite some time because the guitar starts just like an actual alarm sound. I actually liked it a lot but I eventually had to change it because I got tired of the same song every morning. Plus, now I can't listen to it anymore without thinking of the struggle of getting out of bed. I'll never use one song as an alarm ever again.
    Dukey
"My life, my life, my life - in the sunshine." *dam da dam* *dam da dam*! The only song I've ever used as an alarm clock (or a ringtone) that I'm still fine with listening to it afterwards...

I like the sound of silence - simon and garfunkel because it describes how i feel when i wake up.

The Great Southern Trendkill got me laughing Set it as your grandma¬īs alarm clock!

I always listen to No Doubt - Sunday Morning on Sunday mornings Great song

See, when I think "wake-up" song, I am not thinking one that will scare the crap out of me because I set some metal song on my alarm clock. I think of a "wake-up" song as a song that you listen to as you get ready for the day: getting dressed, brushing teeth/fixing your hair, making breakfast and such. For that I want a song with a fairly pumped feel, but it still moderate in speed. A good drum beat and bass line is good too. That's why I like "Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone.

I used to have a cassette player alarm clock back in the 90's. I put it accross the room and every morning it'd play a few seconds of Spin Doctors. I hate the Spin Doctors. I'd wake up, get pissed at the horrible music coming from the other side of the room, get out of bed to hit the button. I eventually broke that alarm.

This site is a mess now. It took me forever to find this post again. It's not even in the list of all articles anymore. You have to go to Features.
    UltimateGuizar
You can add articles to your feed if you'd like to keep track of them
    dewitt
But why did it get bumped off the main list? So much junk stays there, it's hard to sift through. Then you sift through it all only to find the article you're looking for isn't there for some reason. I don't know how to add articles to my feed... But what if I never saw it in the first place? I thought y'all stopped doing the Wednesday questions and Friday lists for a couple weeks just because I never saw them mixed in with the flood of user submissions. The clutter here has honestly made me start visiting less and less, and it seems like the comment and vote counts have taken a dip, too.
    UltimateGuizar
Nah, the comments section is as busy as ever, especially on Wednesdays. It got bumped off the main list as there were less comments being posted. You can leave suggestions here: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/forumdisp... And if you want to keep track of an article just click on the follow button at the top of the page.
    dewitt
That reasoning makes no sense, either, because there are countless articles from the past week still listed there with 0 comments (when you click "more news" from the front page). But this one is not listed there.
    UltimateGuizar
It does make sense. The problem is you're looking in the wrong place. Top 25 wake up songs is not news, it's a feature. It's still there in the features list by the way.
    dewitt
"Watch my latest YouTube video" isn't news, either. But those videos stay on the "more news" list. Half of the stuff in there isn't news by any definition. And if the reason it gets eventually moved is because it's not news, why is it listed there to begin with? That's how I always come across them; I don't go looking for them usually. They come up in the news section. You're only proving how much of a cluttered mess this site is becoming.
    UltimateGuizar
I don't write the articles or publish them. I saw your comment and decided to help, but it seems you just want to complain. So again, please leave site feedback for the developers at the link I posted for you.
    dewitt
And I appreciate it. I'm just saying the reasoning in inconsistent.

What about What Happened by Sublime? "Wake up in the morning, clock says half-past one. I have no sunglasses as I step into the sun." Great song
    Blk_Sabbath
I used to use Deer Dance as my alarm for when I didn't have my alarm clock with me. Spent a few weeks away from home with work. After the first week it actually startled the shit out of me
    stehlik12
I need calm wake up...my alarm is set to "Man Of A Thousand Faces" by Marillion
    Dr. Genitals
I like to wake up to Nothing From Nothing, the horns into Preston's amazing piano playing is just the best. As much as I love heavy music, something peaceful has always seemed to be the way I prefer to wake up.
    z.a.goodfellow
Delta waves binaural beats are the only thing that help put me to sleep, usually still going as I wake up.
    FMVG96
I used to have headcrusher by megadeth as alarm and that made me hate that song for a while lol
    timoel
Moonspell's Awake, been for a few years and still loving it. Nice motivational speech by Aleister Crowley, and then all is dying...   But it begins softly which is good, and if you don't wake up it gets louder and harder.
