Canadian post-hardcore quintet Alexisonfire have revealed dates for their Farewell Tour. The band announced their breakup last year, following guitarists Dallas Green (of City and Colour fame) and Wade MacNeil's decision to focus on other projects. However, the band maintained the possibly of a final tour together, something the band confirmed on their official Facebook page: "As promised in 2010 we're back for a Farewell Tour. We know that this tour doesn't reach all of you, and this list is sure to cause some disappointment, but know that we have done our best to fit what we can into this window of time. December 2012 is the only time that all 5 of us aren't committed to something in our personal or professional lives. An entire month!!!! "We couldn't be more excited to get on the road and travel and hit the stage one last time most importantly we wanted to keep our promise to you guys. We're going to be playing till the venues try to kick us off the stage. We're talking 20+ songs a night. "We said we'd return for some proper farewell shows. And here they are." The Farewell Tour dates are as follows: 12/03 London, UK @ O2 Academy Brixton 12/07 Sao Paulo, Brazil @ Via Funchal 12/11 - Sydney, AUS @ Hordern Pavilion 12/12 Melbourne, AUS @ Festival Hall 12/19 Edmonton, AB @ Shaw Conference Centre 12/20 Calgary, AB @ Big Four Building 12/22 Montreal, QC @ Metropolis 12/26 Toronto, ON @ Sound Academy 12/27 Toronto, ON @ Sound Academy More details, such as pre-sale information, will be released shortly.

Now this is what I like to see, haha! As a Canadian, whenever I look up a band's tour, I see "Oh...1 Canadian stop in Toronto....Thanks a lot, ASSHOLES!" But now I can look at this and be like "Ha! You gotta be Canadian for this SHIZ"

This list is pretty ridiculous tbh. Only one European date, and not even a single USA date? Eh?

Damn, skip right past me. Watch Out was a huge influence on my musical development. Without it, I'm not sure that I ever would have gotten into harsh vocals when I did. That and it's simply a ****ing awesome record to boot!

I agree dude, George was the first screamer I really got into, I was sad with how his vocals kind of went downhill after watch out..

Crisis still had a lot of good hard vocals and songs, but it definitely went downhill for me on OC/YC and Dog's Blood. Watch Out is just such a great album though. I don't listen to anything remotely close to hardcore, but Watch Out is in my top five albums of all time.

They're playing at places they find most important to them as a band...as a Canadian band. It makes sense that more than half of it is Canadian. I guess they didn't have very good experiences in America.

It's pretty sad that they can only get a few shows out, but you have to remember Alexisonfire isn't their main focus anymore. On a secondary note, glad they're coming to where I am... twice!

I know I'll get a lot of hate for this, but THANK YOU. Good riddance.

I'm going to try and make it to both Toronto shows; I'm sad this day has come, but it I'm going to go all out to say goodbye. The band as a whole lost it's spark for me when Crisis was released, but now that they'll never make another record, I have to stop hoping they'll make another Watch Out! or self-titled.

As long as the price isn't too steep, I think I'll get tickets for both Toronto dates too.

Yeah, thats true. Travel isn't a problem since I live in Toronto, but I also won't pay $60+ for each night. Have any supporting bands been announced?

I ****ing love these guys and have been waiting for them to announce these dates since they hinted at a farewell tour. Edmonton or Calgary it is for me. 20+ songs, ****in' A.

They only have a month. You can't play everywhere in the world to all your fans in a month. And considering this is a disbanded band, I'll take what I can get, even considering the closest date is a 5 hour drive from here.
