the guy from puddle of mudd can actually sing believe it or not and jerry's not an idiot. im pretty sure he picked scantlin for a good reason. plus, they did a tribute AIC concert and Wes sang on a couple songs and from what i've heard from the band and others, was really good. Plus he has a grungy sort of voice. I'm no huge PoM fan, but they really aren't that bad. a lot better than most of the bands you like. You meaning all of the people who INSTANTLY post OMG WTF POM SUCCCCKKKKZZZ...

jerry has a nice voice why doesnt he just do an unplugged with former aic members? i'm sure jerry could pull it off nicely, not as good as layne of course but still... better than the pom singer, i love jerrys solo stuff

Alice In Chains is still an awesome band!Jerry Cantrell is one of the most underrated guitarrists ever! When a list of best guitarists is release, his name is never there, and it really makes me sad cause I love his guitar work.I don't really like Puddle Of Mudd and no one can replace Layne, but I think he's the best singer to play with AIC on that show!ROCK ON,AIC!R.I.P.,Layne!

im not mental: HOLY CRAP! I know a guy at my school named Sean Kinney! That's awesome! and why is cantrell playing with the guy from Puddle of Mudd? he sucks!
^Says the guy who likes not only The Used but P.O.D. and Linkin Park. You are not allowed to use the word "sucks" in a sentence until you remove those bullsh*t bands from your favorites list, everything you post in the future will be seen as null and void, thank you and have a nice day.

All i gotta say was that when AIC was started out, they had an amazing guitarist with (In My Opinion) the best singer the ever have come out of the Grunge Scene. Such a shame Layne Staley is gone. But im sure Jerry Cantrell is doing ok out there. Im not too sure of him playing with Wes of PoM. But ahh i guess Jerry needed a backup singer. Its all good for me. Whatever Jerry wants to do, it's HIS album.

god sake all u people on here classify popular rock music as crap. wannabes. aic rock, so do PoM, mick jagger is a ledge.

no offence to him but wes scantlin doesnt have a millionth of the soul, pain and feeling of layne's voice. jerry should have sung by himself. apart from this, Alice in chains are (were) the best friggin band in the world
