Tim Lambesis, primarily known as the lead vocalist and founding member of famous metalcore band As I Lay Dying, has established a non-profit organization designed to raise money for the underprivileged and to promote the importance of charity in today's world. Tim's approach to raising charity is a bit less traditional than most other musicians. Instead of recording songs or promoting a charitable event, he has decided to form a clothing line. The name of the company is Modern Rebellion, and they have just recently opened the online store. The profits that are raised from the clothing sales will be given to Trees Of Glory, a group designed to provide clean drinking water for children in Duber, Ethiopia. The children living in Duber do not enjoy the same standards of living as us, with many living without parents or a proper income to support their basic needs. Tim Lambesis says a few words in regards to the project and what it means to him: For many of us growing up, rebellion was a way to fight against what we felt were pointless and oppressive rules. Times have changed. Today we often submit to popular thinking without notice and believe that our greatest purpose is to serve ourselves. The truest form of rebellion left is to reject this mindset and live for something more. "That is why I have partnered in starting Modern Rebellion. What I profit from this endeavour goes to support orphanages that I have personally visited and benefits a group of people much more deserving than myself. Beyond that, I think the apparel and designs themselves create a style that well represents my personal taste. In a dog-eat-dog world, it's always nice to see artists who are out there to support others and aren't too above themselves to give the less fortunate a hand. If you want to check out some of the apparel for sale, head to this location, and if you want to learn more about Trees of Glory you can go here.
