Danny Worsnop reveals working on a Johnny Cash-like solo album.

Asking Alexandria vocalist Danny Worsnop recently revealed plans to take a break from the band and focus on his side-project Harlot. "I'm gonna take a few months off from Asking and tour Harlot" Danny told Artisan News. "It's gonna be a weird transitional period where I'm trying to figure out the right balance for the schedules." The singer also revealed working on a solo album. "It's more like kind of Johnny Cash lines," he explained. "The solo record's really kind of mellow. I wanna do like coffee shops before our shows." In a separate Metal Hammer interview last month, Worsnop shared his big ambitions regarding Asking Alexandria, saying that the five-piece is looking "to be the biggest band in the world."

"I'll say it right now: we want to be the biggest band in the world," he said. "I want us to one day be big enough to headline festivals. I can't understand why any band wouldn't want that." Asking Alexandria are currently wrapping up their tour dates with Korn and will soon hit the road with Sevendust. The band's latest effort, "From Death to Destiny," dropped in early August, landing at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Shame they can't take a break that lasts forever.
Or, you can just ignore the band and let the people who enjoy them, enjoy them. For the record, I do not enjoy them.
Normally I would agree with you, but they are an extremely pretentious and irritating band.
Not as bad as Black Veil Brides.
Well even so, Both bands have a lot talent. I saw Black Veil Brides when I was going to see BFMV and those guys absolutely kill it live. They sucked at Golden Gods, but these guys were flawless live it was amazing
And that takes away from the point that whining about them does absolutely nothing, how?

Jeez dude, live and let live. If you don't enjoy them that's fine, but you don't need to be ignorant about it.
Honestly, codybetz may be a whiny bitch, but he's right. They are growing and maturing into better songwriters/musicians and if they continue to grow as such, with their constantly expanding fan-base they may at some point reach somewhere near or at the top of the music food chain. They may be "pretentious and irritating" but if they're willing to better themselves and have a goal then why the **** not? Its the same with Avenged Sevenfold, if they think they can do it then go for it, its people like Rob Flynn that have reached a certain level and they're content with where they are but if someone surpasses them then they turn into whiny crybabies. Hell, if I could I'd go the Miley Cyrus route if it catapulted me to stardom. After all she's still relevant over a month later, even on a Metal news website. Clearly the formula works, its up to you if you want to apply it
Yeah I was definitely was not sober when I commented, but you got my drift man thanks for backing me up I wasn't trying to sound Like a little bitch haha, but seriously why talk shit on a band that is clearly making more of an impact than most people and their shit talkin comments
Are people aware they aren't crabcore or scene anymore, that they are trying to write music, actually good music, so **** you whoever doesn't support these guys for trying, they've gotten much better as musicians and will continue to get better, so how about instead of talking shit, you go and pay attention to the bands you support instead of clicking on an article you know you'll hate just to talk shit, I mean I know it's the internet but grow the hell up people
I dont wanna grow up, though. Not that they arent talented, because individually i am sure that they are, but the are extremely generic. And they have a stupid band name.
Talking shit about a band is cool. Insulting the people that enjoy them with unoriginal one liners will get you up votes here lol
Yeah the first album wasn't no 10/10 but it got them off their feet. I think the band is great, and they get even better each album. Enjoying a band's music is apparently bad nowadays, and get a ton of downvotes over it.
