Making their eagerly awaited return to the UK with three years since their last tour here and two years since they last graced the stage at Download 2011, Avenged Sevenfold are returning to the UK. What's more, they're going to play their first ever arena shows there.

As Rocksins reports, the band has scheduled a trio of shows. Having long been tipped as future festival headliners in the UK, this trio of arena shows will give Avenged Sevenfold the opportunity to prove to the masses why many people hold that opinion.

M. Shadows and the boys have lined up some substantial support for the shows as Avenged Sevenfold will not be coming alone. The irrepressible Five Finger Death Punch have been confirmed as main support for the shows and will be bringing their brand of in your face metal to UK arenas for the first time. Having recently unveiled the first single to come from a double blast of albums due in 2013, and also appearing at Download and the UK Golden Gods this year, this will be 5FDP's biggest platform in the UK so far. If that's not enough fans of Disturbed will also get their first chance to see frontman David Draiman's new project Device as the show openers.

Shit! I don't know who to go see! Both Avenged and Alter bridge are my favourite bands and they're both touring with great bands that I've never seen before. Plus I've seen both bands twice, so hard to choose! Tempted to say neither and go see Sabbath instead
I'm more into Alter Bridge and Avenged than Sabbath, but Sabbath bro. They're the best band I've seen live. The riffs are so powerful.
But it's not a UK tour if they only play England!
Dude, the UK is tiny. I get it that it's still a pain in the ass, but in the States it's common to drive 900km plus.
That's not his point. His point is that they can't call it a UK tour, if they don't visit Scotland, Wales or (especially) Northern Ireland.
if they had their last show on download 2011, doesn't that mean they performed 2 years ago?
    KISS mania
it said 3 years since their last tour, which was with stone sour in 2010. and the last uk show which was download 11
Hardly a UK tour when you play in only one of the four countries in the UK...
