Avenged Sevenfold will hit the road for new tour dates this spring including a spot at Metallica's music festival and a tour of the Far and Middle East. The tour begins April 16th in Tokyo, Japan, for a tour that will culminate in a special show in Dubai, UAE on May 4th. "We are excited to go back to the Far and Middle East," said Avenged Sevenfold front man M. Shadows. "We played to some of the most amazing crowds when we toured the album there, and we can't wait to bring our live show back to our friends in those regions." Metallica have asked Avenged Sevenfold to perform at the first ever Orion Music + More at Bader Field in Atlantic City, NJ, on June 24th. M. Shadows had this to say: "We really hadn't planned to play the United States in 2012. But after Lars called to describe their plans for Orion and asked us to join them, we decided there's no way we would miss it." The band toured with Metallica in 2006 as part of Metallica's "Escape From The Studio Tour" and that year M. Shadows and Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich were featured together on the cover of Revolver Magazine. 3 years later, Avenged Sevenfold toured with Metallica on their "World Magnetic" tour. 04/16 - Tokyo, Japan - Zepp 04/18 - Nagoya, Japan - Diamond Hall 04/19 - Osaka, Japan - Hatch 04/22 - Taipei, Taiwan - Taipei University Auditorium 04/24 - Bangkok, Thailand - Thunder Dome 04/26 - Manila, Philippines - Araneta 04/28 - Singapore, Singapore - The Coliseum @ Hard Rock Hotel 04/29 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Stadium Negara 05/01 - Jakarta, Indonesia - Carnaval Beach 05/04 - Dubai, UAE - Flash Forum Thanks for the report to AntiMusic.com.

I LOVE AVENGED7FOLD!!!!! And yeah their Live performance is excellent, I actually think they got better playing live. Also their stage setup during "Buried Alive Tour" was epic as hell.

Well considering they really got famous around 2005, you can't call them washed up artists. Especially considering that they are playing many concerts. I think you are just some butthurt, jump on the bandwagon kind of person. Or your favorite band is Bring me the Horizon.

I really hope their next album can reignite my interest in them... I used to be a huge fan of the band in the City of Evil to self-titled era, sadly I only discovered them when they hit the mainstream as it would have been great to see them on the Waking the Fallen and CoE tours when I think they were at their best, but seeing them after the self-titled was still great even if that album wasn't as great as the previous two (in my opinion), but I have struggled to get into nightmare and I think it will be interesting to hear an album without any input from The Rev even in the songwriting but I fear it won't have the same magic :/ As for this tour - hopefully they still put on a good show and the people in less-typical parts of the world for this sorta thing are happy, but their tour supports in the last year or so have partially put me off seeing them again, even if Nightmare had been as good as CoE.

I saw them January last year. They were absolutely incredible at a point when they were still adjusting to life without James Sullivan. So imagine them over a year later.

I saw them in Brisbane, Australia during the Welcome to the Family tour. It was pretty insane. Probably the most insane thing was the head, because it was an indoor function centre with pyrotechnics. Only problem I had with that was that I was on the band's right, so I was looking slightly to my left. Anyway, I couldn't hear much of Syn during the show, it was all Zacky most of the time. But they are fantastic live, they set aside about five minutes near the end of the show just to get a circle pit going. And they played everything with The Rev's vocal overdubs too.

Exactly 4 US tours since Nightmare meanwhile 1 cut down UK tour and an appearance at Download. A7X are in my top 5 but they don't treat treat their UK boiz right.

Yoou got no less than 3 Avenged Sevenfold tours in the US last year. The UK hasn't had a headliner since 2008, man up and let other countries have A7X.

News: When are they coming next to UK??? Next Album: I reckon they should get Vinnie Paul to record the next album with as he is a great drummer and really liked what he did with PANTERA and also recording with A7X would be (IMO) EPIC.

Growing ever sceptical of this band but would still like to see them live again. Hopefully(but not likely) the next album will be limited in ballads.

Their last album debuted at number 1 on the billboard charts knocking off Eminem (the highest selling artist of the last decade) but yeah, they're washed up. /facepalm

I hope they come back to the California area sometime since I missed the last round. It would be awesome to see them in the Zepp though. It's a good venue.

A7X live in Malaysia!!! I can't believe it!! For those from the western Hemisphere, please be considerate as we in Malaysia(asia) do not get metal often (maybe once in ten years, seriously), No metal festival, no metal nothing. Just the few of us keeping the underground metal alive so this is epic for us.

Syn was pissed off last year at how low his level was, it is also very unlikely that they'd play two years in a row.

Not come to Norway because of one guy who has an opinion? That's not going to stop them. Quite jumping on the bandwagon. Either that, or don't comment on an article of something you dislike. Saw them when they played Uproar. They were fantastic live.

Nice Zepp's is a great place to catch a show in Japan(yes I've gone there). They should have played at the AX in shibuya though great venue. I'm glad to see more bands breaking into the south east asia market they love american music.
