Beck perfromed his 2012's "Song Reader" for the first time ever last night (July 4), Consequence of Sound reports.

"Song Reader" was released in December 2012 as individual pieces of sheet music. Fans keen to hear it should've played it themselves.

Now tracks from "Song Reader" have more traditional form. Beck spent Fourth of July at London's Barbican, where he performed the album live. He was joined by a number of high-profile guests, including Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Franz Ferdinand, Beth Orton, Charlotte Gainsbourg, the Mighty Boosh and more.

You can check out the fan-filmed footage of six songs below.

It was a matter of time before he actually performed this book... now we all know how he intended the songs to sound & be played
"Beck spent Fourth of July at London's Barbican..." dare he. Haha but in all seriousness, this is actually really cool.
