Behemoth frontman Adam Darski (aka Nergal) has reportedly been rushed to a Polish hospital for an undisclosed illness. According to Polish media reports, Darski was taken to the Department of Hematology at the University Hospital in Gdansk, Poland. On Thursday, the group cancelled their appearance at Sonishphere in Finland as per the following statement: "Behemoth have been forced to drop off the Sonisphere Finland show on August 7th due to health issues. It is unclear if any more of their European festival dates will be effected by this or not. More details are expected to be released over the next few days." The following statement (translated by Google) has been attributed to Nergal: "I do not want to bore you with details, but I can no longer hide the fact that I was seriously ill and waiting for my multi-stage treatment, which can take up to several months. Thus, we refer the coming summer festivals, planned for September and October tour of Russia and the Baltic States and the November tour of the USA. I know that this is not the best news for you, but health is most important. I've got a rather difficult period, and a lot of work but I became hardened in the fire, is not it? You know me, so that you know that out of this stronger than ever. "Then all the concerts also will plan from scratch and even greater momentum. At this time, feels good, my head is sfokusowana to fight the disease, everything is under control professionals. I have with me the most wonderful and loving woman, family, team, managers and people from publishing companies who are doing everything to support me. Do not ask for more than just a little bit of patience. I would add that the fact that in the near future we will not be touring with does not go into hibernation. We have a lot to offer you in the coming months, Behemoth will work on many other fronts. In coming days expect release of our latest clip 'Alas, Lord Is Upon Me.' Ensures that this is the most perfect, the most provocative and stimulating I have ever made a picture. "In addition, finish work on the DVD release trzypytowym "Evangelia Heretika" which will be released in November of that year effort Mystic Prod This month we open our shop in the whole world, while working on new designs T-shirts and sophisticated gadgets that are in it available. That would be enough ... we will keep you informed of what's happening in our camp. Horns Up!" Thanks for the report to Lambgoat.com.

This is serious business, we can't lose another frontman to an illness. Dio was enough, I couldn't deal with a world with no Nergal.

That's too bad... I really hope Nergal gets better. I saw them in Chicago this past February, and they were amazing. They literally got to the show 20 minutes before they went on stage. Their bus had lost power in a blizzard in North Dakota, and they sat there for like 36 hours. Then they flew to Chicago with only their guitars, makeup, and outfits. I met em after the show, and they were still extremely cool

sometimes the translation is bad indeed, ****, i hope it will not affect him in the future! he shouldn't become the next Tom Araya, cancel lots of shows. wouldn't be surprised though if this illness came forth of all the pressure he had. these are busy times for Behemoth horns up!

Wow that translation is baffling... Multi-stage treatment lasting several months? This sounds serious... best wishes to Nergal & co. Behemoth \m/
