Billy Corgan is writing his autobiography.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman has promised to give a truthful account of his life in the band - of which he is the only remaining original member - including addressing the tensions between himself and former bandmates D'Arcy Wretzky, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin.

He said: "I'm about 75 per cent through. It explains some of the dynamic between us more accurately, but even then it's just my take on it."

Billy also branded former guitarist James a "piece of sh-t" but insisted he has no resentment towards D'Arcy or Jimmy, even though the drummer released a damning statement when he quit the group for the second time in 2009.

He added to NME magazine: "I'm OK with Jimmy. We don't have a relationship at the moment but I mean, I have no ill will.

"I want to see him do well. James Iha I think is just a piece of sh-t. I think he's one of the worst human beings I've ever met in my life. And D'Arcy, she's sort of, in her own way, sort of an innocent. She's not a bad person."

Have some balls and have James, Jimmy and Darcy participate in it unedited. No one wants to read a Billy Corgan book, though a true Smashing Pumpkins book would be great. The best part of Motley Crue's The Dirt book was including Tommy Lee and John Corabi and Doc McGee although they weren't connected to the band anymore at that point.
Sure Billy Corgan is an *****, but he can/could write better songs than all us dicks combined. I'm an ***** and haven't written shit.
I would love to read it to see what slowly made him change and what really went down behind the scenes of the band since there's not really alot of information about it. And it was interesting finding out his thoughts of the band members, i will definitely read this one but that may be since im a major fan.
It will be called 'There can be only ONE! The Billy 'Smashing Pumkins' Corgan story'.

it's true though. Anyone into the Pumpkins knows he always wrote 95% of the songs and played around 70% of the instruments, although the new album Oceania features some contributions from current members besides Billy.
New album is very good indeed. Billy may be an ***** but he's one f my favourite musicians of all time and I look forward to this book.
