Blink-182 have been forced to cancel a number of US tour dates after drummer Travis Barker was forced to undergo an emergency operation to remove his tonsils. The operation has affected a small number of US tour dates but is not expected to impact on any of Blink's forthcoming shows in the UK this Summer. Two of Blink-182's dates at Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK have been rescheduled whilst the remaining dates have been pulled entirely. A statement written on the band's official website claims: "The band apologises for any inconvenience as a result of these cancelations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support." Adding that Barker's "recovery period (is) expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates." Blink-182's UK tour is expected to kick off on June 7th at Birmingham's NIA. Thanks for the report to Gigwise.com.

I know alot people hate on Travis' drumming skills, but he's actually really good. NO he's NOT the best drummer in the world, but he can actually bust out some cool beats. I hope you get better Travis

as a drummer, I respect him alot. His stuff isn't necessarily hard to learn or actually play if you practice it (with some exceptions; the live album is ridiculously fast and at some points its like playing slayer with a single pedal), but when you step back and think "whoa, he heard this music and created THIS? Would I ever think to that?" you start to like him more haha

I'll admit, I used to hate him, only because I praised Mark and Tom as gods (silly me). But, alot of their songs would just sound ordinary if he didn't add all of his sick fills he puts in songs.

I like Scotts playing also, but to me it was too simple and a little boring. Idk.

Completely love Scott's playing - if it wasn't for stuff like carousel I wouldn't be able to play so fast in the first place - but his parts aren't as creative

This guy always finds a way to injury himself, and yet he mostly still performs with his injuries and remains one of the best drummers ever WHILE INJURED!!! I have nothing but respect for this man.

You know, considering this man's medical history, isn't a touch deceptive to list something as mundane as a tonsillectomy as an "emergency operation"?

Not a Blink fan so don't blast me when I ask if he even sings (I know he's the drummer), because if not he should need a day to rest and a day to have surgery that's it
