Alt-rockers Cage The Elephant have lined up a late-winter headlining tour beginning next month as the five-piece outfit continues to back its self-titled debut from last year.
The tour gets underway February 15 in Augusta, GA, finishing up a month later with a March 14 show in Columbus, OH.
The band released its self-titled debut album last May in the US, several months after the set surfaced in Europe. The album, which debuted at No. 171 on The Billboard 200, later peaked at No. 67 on the magazine's chart, spurred by minor radio hit "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked," which reached No. 3 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart.
"The music comes from a pure place," frontman Matt Schultz said in the band's bio. "We really like the energy of music that feels passionate, raw, unplanned emotion. That's what we were really trying to capture in the studio."
The Kentucky-based band's most recent single, "Back Against The Wall," and its accompanying video are currently streaming at the group's MySpace page.
