"I know this made Kurt smile up there," Love adds.

The lengthy feud between Courtney Love and Dave Grohl might have finally ended at Nirvana's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony last Friday (April 11).

After a brief speech, Courtney surprised the crowd by hugging bassist Krist Novoselic and Grohl, calling them family.

"I have a big speech, but I'm not gonna say it," Love said. "We all start bands when we're kids and this is my family I'm looking at right now. I just wish Kurt could have been here."

After the ceremony ended, the singer tweeted, "If I skip the party it's just coz I'm tired - love you guys in my crazy way."

Courtney also posted a photo of herself hugging Dave, noting, "The most magical part of the evening. Thank you Dave, love you. I know this made him smile up there."

As reported, surviving Nirvana members took the stage for a four-song set featuring a female all-star set of vocalist - Joan Jett, St. Vincent, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Lorde.

The evening's entire Nirvana team, excluding Lorde, continued the party at a local Brooklyn club St. Vitus, performing a full set. As the New York Post reports, the super-secret show was open only for 250 close friends of the band.

The most magical part of the evening. Thank you Dave, love you. I know this made him smile up there

Not sure if real or she's gotten crazier.
it's ****ing typical courtney love can do no right in the eye's of UG bunch of ****ing vultures
Yeah, really. Courtney is an emotional trainwreck, but that doesn't mean she can't be nice every now and then. But as we all know, when our fellow UGers start seeing someone as a villain, there's no way back. (No pun intended) [/leave Courtney alone!!!!111!!! moment
I was lucky enough to be at the event and I have to say that Courtney pretty much came off as she's perceived: attention-seeking and possibly drunk or high. Courtney went up to the mic after Dave, Krist, and Kurt's mom spoke, said two sentences, and then went around hugging everyone. It looked like it was forced and because she was pretty much had no other choice than to take the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude. You can't drop 20 years of bitterness overnight, but you CAN be amicable for the sake of keeping appearances. If either one of them denied the other in that moment, it would've been very awkward and I'm sure they both knew that.
Seriously. Just look at Dave in that pic. Goin one-armed with the hug, and the look on his face says, "just get this over with".
lol, way to attribute something to UG that's basically been going on since Kurt died, that's real neat.
The woman's nearly 50. Its the 20th anniversary of her husband's death and she's probably reevaluating stuff and realises this is pointless. Hopefully she moves on and makes some new good tunes with Hole
Finally this is over. I've regained some respect for Courtney because of this. Hopefully we won't see any hate-filled interviews anymore.
Maybe she has seen some of the UG article comments. Oh btw, Dave is pretty much giving Courtney a Christian side-hug.
Aaaaand this site is officially out of news forever.
not as long as dave mustaine is still around
    And Ted Nugent.
    Nd Kerry king.
3 notes of the pre-production demo track have been decided on by Maynard to be taken into consideration for 3 albums time.
I am incredibly suspicious of her unexpectedly kind and well-grounded gesture.
Likewise here, but I'll give her the benifit of the doubt and hope that she's actually pulled herself together now.
I truly hope this is sincere and not another cry for attention.
Come on guys, I know she's bat shit crazy majority of the time but credit where credit is due. She did a good thing here.
I think Dave is just doing the civil thing, because his life is pretty good, Courtney's life seems to be pretty ****ed up anyway! So if all the lawsuits and shit is settled then why bother having a feud. He doesn't need to be friends with Courtney, just be civil.
Dave is actually saying in his mind "I hope she isnt piching anything out of my back pocket"
She's just lulling them into a false sense of security.
And then she'll kill them both, and make it look like suicide.
I had this odd feeling that I thought you were going to say something along the lines of "kill them both and make them into soup." I just woke up, idk.
It was never much of a feud. It was just Courtney being a bitch to Dave.
I think her crazy just went full circle, she'll be back to her old ways in a couple of years. And thus the cycle continues.
-in the voice of David Attenburrough- "We see here another excellent specimen of the Courtneaus Lovus, a slightly humanoid creature whose main activity is shreiking ghastly aggresive sounds out into the urban jungle. It keeps itself nourished through processed green paper, most commenly derived from its former mate, and the pulverised paste of the coca plant which grows in South America. Through a 20 year cycle, it will produce the said shrieks and bellowing to conjure the attention of others, until the cycle ends - Then begins a 5-10 year cycle in which it changes behaviour completely, from being a pest of the forest to becoming a benifitial factor, turning its shrieking to music, and laying down aggresive behaviour for a more, if still manic, but more accepting and relaxed behaviour. The time upon when this behaviour turns around again depends on when the animals of the forest have universally accepted the Lovus as a normal part of the forest and it fades into obscurity, or if it runs out of processed green paper, in which it will moult out of its respectable skin and rise again in an seemingly even worse state than it was before."
