Courtney Love was made an honourary patron at an Irish university last night (October 18).
The Hole frontwoman was the special guest at Dublin's Trinity College, where she was feted by the institute's Philosophical Society and received a medal.
She later gave a speech at the ceremony and chatted to students at the university.
The singer recently signed a deal to pen her own memoir. The book will apparently "set the record straight" about her marriage to Nirvana late frontman Kurt Cobain, her career as a rock star and actress, and her relationships with other celebrities and her daughter, Frances Bean.
Love will write the as-yet-untitled book for William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. It is expected to be released later this year.
She also recently revealed that Cobain tried to kill himself three times before he eventually succeeded in taking his own life in 1994.
