Courtney Love has revealed Katy Perry "bores the s--t" out of her during an intimate performance at a hotel in New York City, where she also hit out at Robin Thicke and Jared Leto, Gigwise reports.
The comments come as Perry prepares to release her third album, "Prism," and are bound to anger the "Roar" singer's devoted fanbase. The former wife of late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain then went on to diss "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke, referencing his father Alan Thicke, who was a popular '80s actor and chat show host: "Can someone inform me who Alan Thicke's son is? Like what? Wasn't he on 'Charles in Charge?' That's like Jared Leto trying to convince me he's a rock star."
Love, the former singer of '90s grunge band Hole, made the comments whilst defending Miley Cyrus in the wake of her infamous onstage antics at the VMAs last month.
She said "I liked Miley, frankly. I'm gonna be honest, Katy Perry bores the s--t out of me. She's a nice girl, she just really bores me. You know, that hillbilly Miley Cyrus is sort of punk in a weird sex way."
When the New York Post asked famously outspoken Love about her controversial opinions, the 49-year-old emphasised them further, saying "[Katy] bores me. [Miley] was at least kind of punk rock, you know? It was openly sexual ... like dark and hillbilly and f--ked up."
What do you think on next Love's rant?
