Following the Top Ten success of the band's thirteenth album "Delta Machine," Depeche Mode
have announced a five-date UK tour taking place at the end of 2013, Gigwise
The band are on tour across the world this year, and will return to the UK for a string of dates in November. The UK dates kick off on 11 November at Glasgow Hydro, before gigs in Leeds, Manchester and London - and a final show at Birmingham's LG Arena at the end of January in 2014. Tickets go on sale at 9am, Friday 12 April 2013.
Now in their third decade in music, Depeche Mode remain a huge influence on the music scene - and recently described themselves as one of the biggest bands in the world - still.
Frontman Dave Gahan
was speaking to American radio station KROQ when he said that most bands seem to say that they're influenced by Depeche Mode, adding that he wasn't trying to brag - and that he's still surprised by his own band.
"I'm constantly surprised by this band,"
Gahan said. "When I show up, really exciting things happen. I guess what Im saying is, we're not done yet."
He continued: "We've been that band that nobody understood, then we've been the band that everybody tried to imitate, and suddenly we were the band that everybody says, 'oh we were influenced by.'"
