Prog metal giants Dream Theater have announced details of their North American "Along for the Ride" concert trek, confirming a month-long string of tour dates across the continent. Stretching from March 20 through April 26, the tour will kick off in Toronto and end in Mexico's Guadalajara. With the previously announced European dates, the band will now be busy on the road through most of 2014's first half. "We are all really pumped and excited to bring our new live show to North America and to take all of our amazing fans 'Along for the Ride!'" said guitarist John Petrucci. "Returning to the 'An Evening With' format will enable us to deliver the best DT live experience yet with time for lots of music, and we can't wait to share it with all of you. With this tour, our goal is for you to be able to step into the world of Dream Theater from the moment you enter the venue." Dream Theater have released their latest self-titled album on September 23 through Roadrunner Records. Check out the full tour itinerary bellow, ticket info at the official website. When and if they come to Australia, I'll die a happy man.

I saw DT the last two times they played Buffalo. Toronto is too much hassle though. I might hit the Pittsburgh show, depends on how things play out

2 Canadian dates is lame. I'm not a DT fan but I'd be disappointed in that. I've known that feel for too long.

3, Vancouver is there too. But everyone in the provinces that no one cares about is screwed.

Oh look, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland ignored yet again. If Belfast can get Metallica and Iron Maiden to play there then why not DT?

Needs another Aussie tour! It's been too long! Don't leave it another 20 years, or however long it took you to first tour Oz. Will never understand why you don't include it in your Asia tour schedule!

The Bell Centre in Montreal is a full 22,000 seat arena...didn't realize they had such a big fan base there.
