On 10/11 at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Dream Theater performed Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety as their second set.

This continued Dream Theater's tradition of covering a "classic album" in entirety whenever doing a two-night stand in the same city (the band previous covered Metallica's "Master of Puppets" and Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast" in 2002). Joining the group for the performance was Mike Kidson on saxophone (from "the Australian Pink Floyd Show") and Theresa Thomason (who previously appeared with Dream Theater on "Scenes from a Memory" and "Live Scenes from New York").

Tracks performed were as follows:

01. Speak to Me 02. Breathe 03. On The Run 04. Time 05. Breathe (Reprise) 06. The Great Gig in the Sky 07. Money 08. Us And Them 09. Any Colour You Like 10. Brain Damage 11. Eclipse

Dream Theater are scheduled to perform the album one more time on October 25 for the second night of their two-night stand at the famous Hammersmith Apollo in London, acording to Blabbermouth.net.

As previously reported, Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess were among the guest musicians on former Spock's Beard/Transatlantic frontman Neal Morse's new progressive rock masterpiece, "?" (The Question Mark Album).

The album will be released in the U.S. on November 1 through Metal Blade Records and in Europe on October 24 through InsideOut Music. Other guest musicians include saxophonist Mark Leniger, Alan Morse (Spock's Beard), legendary guitarist Steve Hackett (formerly of Genesis) and Roine Stolt of The Flower Kings.

[quote]guitar_freak523: john i ebt thought it would be better to shred over classic gilmour solo's[quote] Don't know if that was meant to be offensive, but while he does shred more, he also does play some slower solos. Anyway, on 'A Change of Seasons' I believe they covered Run Like Hell as well, I could be wrong, but there was a Floyd song on there.

I can't stand anything Dream Theater does. I find them unlistenable. THEY JUST DON'T ROCK! They sound like a bunch of studio wizzo-wackos in everything they do and their original material is so pretentiously technical and sterile in it's approach that they just bore me to tears.
