Stevie Nicks has issued a positive update on the health status of Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie, HenneMusic (via US Weekly) reports. Nicks states that she expects the bassist, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, to make a recovery.
"He's good. He's got his treatment, and now he did a show on the 30th and 31st, another tomorrow night, then he has surgery next week. He's good. He's gonna be fine. I'm not the least bit worried about John. He's very, very strong and a man of very few words. He's not a person to mess with."
The band was recently forced to cancel a 14-date tour of Australia and New Zealand after news of McVie's diagnosis.
Fleetwood Mac's latest EP, simply titled "Extended Play," was released in 2013. It was the band's first new music in 10 years.
