On Monday, The Foo Fighters announced the first leg of their North American tour in support of their new album "Wasting Light".
The concert run will begin in Toronto, Ontario on August 9th and end in East Rutherford, New Jersey on September 26th. Tickets go on sale May 20th for all dates except St. Paul and Columbus, which will be available beginning June 4th.
It's already been a busy year for the Foos. "Wasting Light" earned the band their first-ever No. 1 album release last month, and the album's first single "Rope" continues to dominate Billboard's Rock chart, where it's been at #1 for 11 straight weeks. A documentary feature about the band entitled "Foo Fighters: Back And Forth" has completed production and will be released in June. Earlier this year, they traveled around North America performing private shows in the garages of fans that had won a contest put on by the band.
The Foo Fighters will finish up their current US tour in late May before heading off to Europe for the busy summer festival season. They are also headlining this year's Lollapalooza festival in early August. For more tour details, click here.
