Former Grateful Dead
drummer Mickey Hart
is being sought by police for questioning after an alleged attack at a recent concert. TMZ
reports that a warrant has been issued for Hart's arrest.
The musician, whose real name is Michael Hartman
, was accused of assaulting a person at a Mickey Hart Band
performance on Sept. 8 at the Terrapin Hill Farm in Harrodsburg, Ky. The details surrounding the attack were unclear, but the alleged victim did file a police report that initiated the charges against the drummer. It is standard procedure in Kentucky to issue a warrant as soon as charges are filed.
Hart played with the Grateful Dead from 1967 all the way until Jerry Garci
s passing in 1995. Even during his tenure with the Dead, Hart maintained a solo career, with his first album arriving in 1972.
In the year's since the Grateful Dead, Hart has issued five albums, plus a greatest hits collection and toured as the leader of the Mickey Hart Band.
