Garbage revealed releasing two songs for Record Store Day 2014, both Consequence of Sound and the band's official website reports.

Unlike last year's RSD, when the band teamed up with Screaming Females to cover Patti Smith, two songs to be released on April 19 are the original Garbage songs from previously unreleased material. "Girls Talk" (previously titled "Girls Talk So Much Sh-t") was recorded with ex-Distillers' Brody Dalle, it will be released on the 10" vinyl with "Time Will Destroy Everything" as a B-side.

Both songs were reportedly years in the making. "Girls Talk" dates back to 2007 and was originally written to be included on the band's greatest hits album, "Absolute Garbage." Meanwhile, "Time Will Destroy Everything" was first conceived during the recording sessions for Garbage's fifth album 2010's "Not Your Kind of People."

As for Shirley Manson / Brody Dalle collaboration, it already happened before, not only on Brody Dalle's "Meet the Foetus / Oh the Joy" off her debut solo album "Diploid Love," but back in 2005, when both Manson and Dalle provided backing vocals for "'You've Got a Killer Scene, Man...'" from Queens of the Stone Age's "Lullabies to Paralyze."

Almost bought this the other day...but set it back down in lieu of the Soundgarden singles collection for Superunknown and all three Crosses EP's.
