This fall, living room legends and their friends will join together and embark on an epic rock journey to save rock n' roll with Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock.

Today Activision Publishing and exclusively reveal the entire Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock lineup, which features more than 90 tracks that include guitar hits from bands such as Black Sabbath, Megadeth and Slipknot and larger than life anthems from Queen, Muse and Kiss.

This is definitely the best guitar hero track list... But when are they going to put some Primus on here?
Well, it's a pretty good soundtrack overall. I like seeing Third Eye Blind on there. I'm kind of skeptical about how having The White Stripes on there will work, considering the lack of bass and all. Either way, they've kind of saturated the market with Guitar Hero. The first one was novel, and I love playing Rock Band, but they released far too many games in a short timespan. (In 2009 there were a whopping eight (nine if you count DJ Hero) Guitar Hero titles and one Rock Band title released).
Crap.."Ties That Bind" is on here..I love the song, but now all these guitar queero kids are gonan call themselves Alter Bridge fans. As for the other songs..GH is just continuing their list of your typical classic rock radio songs with like 25% of the list being modern rock.
*Sees Anberlin FINALLY in a GH game* *squeals like a girl* And Holy Wars? Cool beans man.
Fantastic list in my opinion. Not all of its great (come on, Nickelback? Drowning Pool?) But AFI, Arch Enemy, Bad Brains, Dethklok, all that Megadeth and Rush? Plus a nice assortment of cheesey 80's hair metal anthems, like Night Ranger and Twisted Sister. I'm also looking forward to the Orianthi one. It should be fun.

Since the solo for "War Pigs" was recorded.
I'm still really disappointed that it took this long for Vai to get a song in either Rock Band or GH... but so it goes. Now all they need is more stuff from Steve, Andy Timmons, Zappa, Satch, Rusty Cooley, Yngwie, MAB, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, a little bit of Chet Atkins, maybe some Billy Sheehan for bass... now THAT would make a really good Guitar Hero game if you ask me. Hell, if those guys were in one I'd actually go out and actually buy it

I agree. How You Remind Me is a poor choice. Would've loved to see Where Do I Hide? on there. Foo Fighter - No Way Back is pretty good choice.
The songs are great!! But i think that it would be more epic if Rush's 2112 was a complete track of 20 minutes and not 7 separate tracks.

I've lost all hope for guitar hero set lists now. Fall out boy? Nickelback? Atryeu? Bush? MCR? I can go on with the horrible bands on this list..... But i guess some of the good artists make up for it somehow.
MaximusGigantes wrote: Way better than Guitar Hero 5's setlist (which I never bought anyways)- there are a decent amount of good songs on here... but enough to top Rock Band III? meh.
For me??? Not at all. I think Rock Band 3 will get me back into music games (which I gave up a year ago) because up the new 'Pro Mode'. On the other hand Guitar Hero/Activision has never impressed me much with their setlist choices. But they redeemed themselves this time haha!
new_age_reject wrote: You know what.... awesome list. Shame about the lack of 'tallica.
i don't know if you remember or not, but they have a guitar hero metallica game
DO not buy this, if you are then check out rock band 3 that is so much more musically relevant, because it actually teaches you to play real instruments!!!!

DEP is a sic addition! For a skillz test they should add meshuggah or Tony danza tapdance extravaganza
IDoCocaine wrote: Bloodlines? They could have picked a better Dethklok song than that.
this. bloodlines was just filler material in their first album, which imo wasnt even their (his) best
SomaGuye wrote: Really? No one has mentioned John 5 yet? REALLY?
Dude, I hear ya. Black widow was the first song I ever heard by John. Look forward to playin it.

srry for postin twice but I just remembered to say this. They coulda possilbey chose a more guitar driven Nickelback song. I mean, don't get me wrong, How You Remind Me is incredible. But if they wanted to be more rock/metal oriented with this game, they coulda put in Because of You, or Side of A Bullter
one of the best GH setlists yet...Nickelback? Alter Bridge?! two of my favorite bands ever...can't ****in wait!
brandon-hammond wrote: what the hell is nickelback doing in this list all there songs sound the same its like they dont change the words they just change how the word is sang
It's a good thing I like that song Also, if it weren't for guitar hero (and my dad), I would be listening to some lame pop single thinking that I knew what music was. I'd rather know that there were a bunch of rock posers out there than know that no one in the world knew what good music sounded like.
YES! I'm Broken. One of the greatest metal riffs EVER! R.I.P. Dime. Needs more Crue and they can surely come up with a better Aerosmith track than Cryin. And how about am Ozzy song w/out Metallica. And then include a Metallica song not used in their Guitar Hero. Also needs some Maiden and Black Label Society. But all in all, looks good.
no pearl jam guns n roses green day or nirvana! WTF!? well at least they have a slash song
i agree this is the best lineup since GH:M glad to see that theyre not afraid to put hard shredding tracks on GH for once i think i only played 5 songs on GH:WT and excuse me but i play real guitar because of this game not so big a poser anymore huh?
GH Metallica was the last good GH game after 3. World Tour blows. It really sucks they are going back to the fantasy, cartoony crap, Metallica had great visuals.
      The Shroom420
What a terrible freakin' setlist... "Hey guys, whats the best Ramones song ever??" "Spiderman, of course!" These guys are stupid and this game looks like complete shit.
as much of a rush fan that i am, im not going to spend my money just for 2112, this is a joke of a setlist... ill stick to rock band and frets on fire for 2112

      lol I agree
wheres smells like teen spirit and californication? and theres no hendrix :| and oasis D:
i wouldnt consider some of those bands WARRIORS of rock, more like pantzees of pop alternive. and im still waiting for some Kyuss Damnit!
AWESOME SET LIST HOLY...!!! 3 Megadeth songs, Burn by Deep Purple, Anthrax and one of my favorite Rammstein songs! Haven't bought a Guitar Hero or Rock Band game since Guitar Hero 3. Maybe I'll get this...
no judas priest and iron maiden = fail also there are some really bad selections there, Muse has a lot of better songs, Children of Bodom has better songs too... like someone said above, the good songs are overpowered by the shitty ones
