Lzzy Hale of Halestorm revealed recently that her and some other famous ladies of rock have often spoke of joining forces to become a modern day version of The Runaways. The anticipation is high for the follow-up album to Halestorm's breakout self-titled debut record - from both the band and their fans. Despite her excitement about the new material, Halestorm's vocalist Lzzy Hale told The Saginaw News that she has another dream project she would like to get off of the ground someday. She revealed that herself, bassist Emma Anzai of Sick Puppies, guitarist/vocalist Orianthi (known for her work with Michael Jackson), along with Jen Ledger and Korey Kooper of Skillet have all been plotting a supergroup of sorts: "It's funny, we secretly talk about it when we hang out. But the truth is that here we are, women in rock, and most of our influences come from our parents' generation. There are so many of us out there, talented women making it in the business. We're breaking the rules in a business that hasn't had any real rules before. You can put a short skirt on anybody and go for cute, but this is a nice, refreshing trend. They inspire me to do better." Whether or not the supergroup will actually come to be remains to be seen, but we will next hear from Lzzy and Halestorm on their untitled sophomore record which is expected in early 2012. Thanks for the report to Banana1015.com.

I would destroy her. supergroup doesn't sound too bad either... I'd take them all at once

That actually sounds like it would be a really good lineup. Every one of these girls are quite skilled on their respective instruments. As long as they keep Lzzy on lead vocals and let everybody else do their thing, they could actually have something really good. Lzzy would probably have to tone down the overly sexual lyrics to appease Jen and Korey, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'd give it a listen. She is a great vocalist and if the music isn't too bad then good for them.

Y u no choose good female artists? Is it because none of them would want to play with you? I'll stick with Mythic and early Girlschool.

Korey *Cooper* Sorry but that bothers me when supposed "journalists" can't even research a name.

hmm... could just add a few of the members of Octavia Sperati. Definitely a band filled with plenty of lookers.
