Iron Maiden Named Favorites to Headline Glastonbury 2015
Following Metallica's successful Glastonbury headline performance this weekend, fellow metal icons Iron Maiden were dubbed favorites for the headlining spot next year.

Specifically, bookmakers William Hill gave Maiden crew 7/1 odds for landing the Glasto gig, following them up with 8/1 chances for Kate Bush and Oasis.

Furthermore, some of the other favorites include AC/DC, U2, Arctic Monkeys, Linkin Park and more.

Although the odds of Glasto organizers contacting Iron Maiden might be solid, the chance for metal legends to accept the slot don't seem equally strong, as singer Bruce Dickinson has bashed the event as "the most bourgeois thing on the planet."

"Personally I have no interest in going to Glastonbury," he told Daily Star. "In the days when Glasto was an alternative festival it was quite interesting. Now it's the most bourgeois thing on the planet. Anywhere Gwyneth Paltrow goes and you can live in an air-conditioned yurt is not for me."
