Twenty-four years after their debut album hit stores in 1988, Jane's Addiction is finally confirmed to be joining the likes of The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The band is due to be inducted some time in 2013, but a date has yet to be announced.

Jane's Addiction has made their mark on fans with four studio albums and 17 singles, as well as headlining countless tours and festivals, like Coachella and Lollapalooza. VH1 called them one of the 100 Greatest Artists Of Hard Rock, and Rolling Stone put their certified 3x Platinum album "Ritual De Lo Habitual" on their 100 Best Albums Of The Nineties list.

The band tweeted their excitement to receive the Hollywood honor:

"We're incredibly honored to receive a Star on the Walk of Fame! Stay tuned for more exciting news... walkoffame.com/pages/press."

Janis Joplin, the Backstreet Boys and Usher are also scheduled to receive Walk of Fame stars next year.

Jane's Addiction continues their Theater Of The Escapists Tour into September.

Thanks for the report to KROQ.Radio.com.

I don't think Dave Navarro is over rated at all, I like all of his Jane's Addiction solos and the stuff he did without Jane's Addiction like the song Aeroplane by RHCP

Yeah, I don't believe enough people know Dave Navarro and his work as a musician. He is all over the place! Remember that song by that Canadian girl Alanis Morrisette, "You Oughta Know", THAT WAS HIM!!! Navarro and Flee. I like his current work but he has made an everlasting impression on music with his work in the 90's.

Looking at the others being inducted, the walk of fame is a joke I mean come on, the backstreet boys? Usher? Seriously

He actually played on the whole One Hot Minute album, not just on Aeroplane.

These are good, but i can't believe they got inducted before The Smashing Pumpkins, or Alice In Chains for that matter.

Even though Dave Navarro is an overrated guitar player, I totally respect this band for the impact they had in the 90's, back when music was relevant.

They should specify "Jane's Addiction in the 1990s with Eric Avery". But i love them anyway. Dave Navarro is an amazing guitarist, seriously, just check out the solo on 3 Days and see for yourself. (he's also pretty hot)
