Jane's Addiction To Tour With NIN

The reunited Jane's Addiction might join Nine Inch Nails as a co-headliner on its upcoming North American tour, which is slated to begin in April.

The reunited Jane's Addiction will play another show in Los Angeles soon. If you want to attend, register for the band's mailing list. The first 500 people to register that are 18 years of age and older will be invited to come.

In other news, Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro's manager told a reporter for Australia's AdelaideNow at the The Screaming Jets show after-party on February 3 in Hollywood, California that Jane's Addiction is heading to Oz this year.

Navarro and Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery have reportedly been working in the studio with Nine Inch Nails mainman Trent Reznor (see photo here), although they have not been working on Nine Inch Nails material. That news, in turn, has increased speculation that the newly reunited Jane's Addiction might join Nine Inch Nails as a co-headliner on its upcoming North American tour, which is slated to begin in April.

Jane's Addiction played two low-key club gigs in Los Angeles this past October and November. Those were the original band's first full concerts together in well over 15 years. The group, including founding bassist Eric Avery, first reunited for a four-song set at the NME Awards USA last April.

The band has reunited twice before, in 1997 and 2001, but without Avery. red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Chris Chaney and Martyn LeNoble all took turns in the lineup.

Singer Perry Farrell has dismissed the possibility of another comeback over the last couple of years, saying in a recent interview that there was as much likelihood of a full-blown reunion "as there being commercial space flights."

Fan-filmed video footage of Jane's Addiction's November 20, 2008 concert at El Cid in Silverlake, California can be viewed here (courtesy of "LAwomanPhotography").

Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

Exactly. They didn't even put "might" or a question mark in the headline so you would think this is definite.

I hadn't thought of it 'til now, but you've got a good point there mate! Yeh, it'd be cool to see NIN/Janes Addiction, but seeing as they're only MAYBE playing in LA to 500 people, I don't think there's a chance in hell that I'll get the chance.

I thought Trent was just in talks to produce Janes new album not tour. He said he was done touring for his new album for awhile. Where in this article does it say specifically they are touring with nin?

Er, didn't Trent say he was heading to Europe to play festivals? Unless he's figured how to be in multiple places at once... yeah.

yeah there really is no proof to this speculation whatsoever. wow, recording together, that must mean theyre gonna do a co-headlining tour! besides i liked the rumor better when it was that rage against the machine was going to be co-headlining with NIN.

Wow UG, you really could have titled this better Anyway, I would be more excited about what they're doing in the studio than some out there possibility that they might tour together. I say "would be" because both these bands started sucking years ago, but I think that news, being actual news and not just a dream of the stoned kids that wrote this up, would be much better for the article title.

if you put out a title as: their might be a smal chance-ish something that Jane`s addiction and NIN will tour together, like 60% of the readers now won`t read it. But I have to say you`re right, misleading titles aren`t fun
