It seems that the appearances of Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme on the Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservation" show were just the beginning of a fruitful collaboration, as the singer/guitarist will be working with the popular TV chef once again.
This time around, we're talking about something much bigger than just a cameo, since the frontman has now joined forces with Screaming Trees' Mark Lanegan to write a theme track for Bourdain's new CNN show "Parts Unknown.""When you hear the new title music for 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown' your head will explode, leaving only a smoking stump. When we heard what Homme and Lanegan had come up with, there was weeping and jaw-droppage," said Bourdain himself, clearly pumped up with excitement over the new song.
The show's first episode aired on April 14, you can check it out on CNN's official website and just listen to the theme song snippet.
The new QOTSA record "Like Clockwork" is set for a June 4 release via Matador Records. As the groups fifth studio effort, it's the first one we'll get to hear since 2007's "Era Vulgaris."
