Former frontman of The Darkness Justin Hawkins is competiting to represent in the UK. Hawkins is to perform the duet 'They Don't Make 'em Like They Used To' with singer Beverlei Brown.

The singer is one of six acts in competition to represent the UK on Eurovision in Helsinki.

The other acts are former East 17 singer Brian Harvey, former Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon, Big Brovaz, Cyndi and Scooch.

Hawkins will perform his song during the "Making Your Mind Up" show.

    Are they all has beens? Seriously though, it would be a laugh if he represented us. Better than our entry this year at least!

    anythings better than that sampson (or whatever his name was) fella from last year. i try to keep an open mind towards music but that sucked more than a big sucking machine.

    I agree with alliwant, Justin Hawkins is horrible! The Darkness was a joke. It amazes me that so many people liked them. I hope they NEVER reform!

    Well it can't be any worse than Jordan's entry attempt, that's for sure. Should be an interesting watch.

    In what way were they a joke? Just because one member of the band chooses to be different and sing in falsetto, which is actually unique and talented, and dress extravegently, doesn't make them a joke.
