Sweden's Katatonia has issued the following update: "Unfortunately [Saturday night's] gig [at Station 4 in St. Paul, Minnesota] reached an all-time low. Two of our guitars got stolen (including the straps and the wireless transmitters), obviously causing performance difficulties, frustration and anger. Then, against all odds, further technical problems kept on coming down one after another during the show. "Apologies go out to our fans in Minnesota for having to go through this." The band added, "We just wanna encourage everybody already to help us keep an eye out for the guitars on pawn shops, Craigslist, eBay, etc. etc., and let us know immediately if they show up. "Pictures of the Mayones guitars can be seen in the giveaway competition ad [below]. Yes, that's right, the thief/thieves actually stole the guitars we were gonna give to you, our fans, at the end of this tour." Katatonia kicked off its North American tour dubbed "Night Over North America" on September 8 in Baltimore, Maryland. To coincide with the 26-date U.S. and Canadian trek, Peaceville Records released a special edition of the band's acclaimed 2009 studio album, "Night Is The New Day", in a hardback mediabook, featuring a 20-page booklet and bonus track, "Ashen". The special edition of "Night Is The New Day" was made available on August 24. For more details please visit Blabbermouth.net.
