KISS and "Family Guy" have announced a new partnership that will see a "Family Guy"/KISS product line hit shelves this coming fall.

The "Family Guy"/KISS line is a collaboration that taps into the band's references within the show.

So far, KISS has appeared three times on the series, providing viewers with insightful and hilarious nuggets that include Peter Griffin's love for the band and the fact that Lois Griffin once dated Gene Simmons before he became famous.

To support the program, Fox Consumer Products and Live Nation Merchandise, Kisses' licensing agent, will be looking for partners in the following categories: vinyl figures, bobble heads, apparel, plush, novelty, barware, social expressions and fine art.

"With KISS merchandise, endorsements and co-branding heading to the billion dollar mark we are focusing more and more on the upper tier, blue chip opportunities for prestige partnerships," says KISS co-founder Paul Stanley. "'Family Guy''s track record and consistent success with it's demographic makes this match up ideal."

"Lois, our night together is a memory I will cherish," added Simmons.

In music-related KISS news, the band hit the road July 20 for a summer tour with Motley Crue; shows are scheduled through to September 23.

Thanks for the report to HenneMusic.com.

It's true. If you watch Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleaveland Show, a lot of the jokes and storylines are recycled. They've also gotten really lazy with writing jokes. Family Guy used to be really funny when it was in its first few seasons but it seems like now they just think up something completely random and unrelated and throw it into the episode

I've seen every AD and FG and they have similarities (talking non humans) but other than that they are pretty different. FG isn't as good but AD started strong and has gotten better IMO, every ep in the last 3 seasons has been excellent. I was really hoping for another KISS episode.
Family guy has gone downhill. However, American Dad is still hilarious. I have to admit Roger the alien is my favorite character of all his characters. The Cleveland show is shit.

God I hope it's a statue of Peter Griffin dressed as a pirate. You know--a music pirate?

South Park was always funnier than any of Seth McFarlane's creations, something even more surprising considering that Matt Stone and Trey Parker only have a week to make an episode! That doesn't mean that Family Guy or American Dad were any bad. I still think American Dad's hilarious and the first 2 seasons can blow out of the water any Family Guy episode. Family Guy, especially since season 10 is barely recognizable. The Cleveland Show was never funny to begin with.

I can't really imagine a market for this kind of thing. Family Guy really isn't really much more than one of McFarlane's crude-comedy shows (which he made 3 of, all the same damn thing). And anyone old enough to really enjoy KISS at their prime, would probably be too old to enjoy Family Guy's sophmoric humour.

I used to love Family Guy, but it sucks now. I don't even watch it. The Cleveland Show is just an obvious ripoff. It's almost exactly the same thing as Family Guy.

Its expected. KISS are always going to succeed in marketing. I mean, their music is good and their image makes them stand out and since they're the original people to do it, they can get away with it for a few more years I believe. Family Guy has gone down hill I agree, American Dad is a lot better and needs more loving from Seth I'd say. It's a gem. Detroit Rock City was awesome I thought, so this might not be totaly awful... Depends on Seth and the rest really.

I was expecting to come on this page and see loads of comments saying "OMG YAY FAMILY GUY IS THE BEST" and I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. Kudos, UG users. Family Guy - the good Family Guy - is long gone.

Leave it to Simmons. Ah god. But I have to agree with jhart08. Roger the alien is a beautiful, beautiful creation.

What do you expect kiss sells out to every opportunity to make more money, especially merchandising.

Yeah Family Guy was amazing for the first 7 seasons, in the last 3 seasons there has still been some great episodes. I've watched the first 7 to death though, if I watch the most recent 3 more they'd probably grow on me. Roger is one of my favorite characters ever, along with Walter from The Big Lebowsik and everyone from Arrested Development. I've only watched about two episodes of the Cleveland show, I've not wanted to watch any more.

So that makes KISS like every other band. KISS has an image that is easier to market. But the Beatles did it first as far as merchandising goes.

Loose Lois never dated Gene Simmons. I wish these douchebag beat writers would get their shit straight.
