Saw them in Vancouver on Tuesday, Matt DeVries did a pretty solid job filling in. Wishing all the best to John. As Randy said at the show, "Family come first with this band."
sorry to hear, saw them back on Nov 1st and it wasn't the best LoG show i've been too on account of myself getting too excited and drinking 2 or 3 beers too many, but the other 3 times i've seen them whilst sober, they ****in' kill it! i've wondered though, how do they get other musicians to fill in on such short notice? do lots of big metal bands just learn each others material all the time? or did they just stick Matt up there and tell him to play open D notes?
There IS a bass player joke in there, but I'm not gonna make one out of respect.
lol yea i was trying to imply a bassist joke..but i kept it implicit because john is a bad ass
