You can't put Leak & QOTSA in same headline guys. I want Like Clockwork NOW!!!
I would go for Queens of the Stone Age, and NIN maybe. The rest is just hipster crap.
So, aside from QOTSA and NIN, every single other band/artist on the lineup is "hipster crap". Isn't that a little ignorant?
Yea... I wouldn't claim The Cure as a hipster band... South Park goth kid band maybe.
Yup, New Order is hipstercrap... Of course, they're so very unknown, it's not like they run their very own club, had several hit singles like "Blue monday", or "Bizarre love triangle", and where the reincarnation of Joy Division, another piece of total hipstercrap only known for making one of the greatest songs ever made called "Love will tear us apart", and having an enormous impact on the alt-rock scene together with that other hipsterband called The Cure... Okay, enough sarcasm - you hopefully get the point anyway...
QOTSA, NIN, The cure, New order? Yes. Yes. Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesy esyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesy esyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes. YES!
QOTSA, NIN, New Order, Hot Chip, Tegan & Sara, Alt-J, Death Grips, DIIV, Foals, Wild Nothing, Io Echo, and Guards I'd be interested in. Not a bad lineup I'd say. Still hoping Outside Lands gets a good lineup since it's the local festival for me.
QOTSA,The Cure,NIN,New Order, and Kendrick Lamar(decent rapper) are the only good stuff, the rest is rubbish.
Though I agree that QOTSA, The cure, NIN, and New order are awesome, only a idiot would call the rest rubbish, considering you've probably haven't even given a listen to 5% of all the names on the list.
I have seen QOTSA and NIN and The Cure. All were spectacular and worth sitting through the hipster stuff to see
"active for 15 years"... what does that mean? It's hasn't been... it was dead from 97 to 03, I believe, and it's 2013 now, so that's like, ten... but maybe you meant from 91... but no that makes 22... Wow UG. Just lazy.
If it started 91, was dead for 6 years, and started back at 03... then it actually is 15 years
"Has been active" implies a continuous event without interruption up until the present. It's a matter of correct syntax. UG is lazy when it comes to proper and consistent use of the English language. This is an(other) example. For such a popular site, you'd think they'd make an effort to have some journalistic integrity... but what would be the point when it clearly doesn't matter to its readers.
