Long-Lost Nirvana Clip Appears Online

A long-lost promotional video for Nirvana's "In Utero" album has appeared online ... and boy is it bizarre.

As Loudwire reports, the clip, which was made in 1993 as an advertisement for the band's then-upcoming album, portrays the Nirvana members as pregnant women, being instructed on how to care for a human baby by comedian Bobcat Goldthwait who is dressed in drag:

The clip has been re-released as promotion for the upcoming 20th anniversary reissue of "In Utero," which is due this September. The album was Nirvana's third record and was the follow-up to the immensely successful "Nevermind." It would prove to be their final studio album. There is no word yet as to what the reissue will feature, although Digital Spy have speculated that some new unreleased songs may appear on the record.

Bobcat Goldthwait... that dude from the Police Academy movies??? Too lazy to google it right now but damn, that's what you call a blast from the past

He also writes & directs the best dark comedy lately. "World's Greatest Dad" & "God Bless America" as examples.

Kurt was a fan of him and used to have him open for nirvana a few times too.

I'm afraid that accolade goes to Louis CK, not Bobcat Goldthwaite (whom I have nothing against, but I just think that "Louie" has some WAAAYYY darker moments. )

"...The clip, which was made in 1993 as an advertisement for the band's then-upcoming album..." "...The clip has been re-released..." If it was used for an advertisement, and is released again, I wouldn't call it lost...

In Utero is, in my opinion, the greatest grunge album of all time. Cannot wait for this!

I saw this only a few years ago. I have no idea how, where, or why, but it's always stuck with me. Cool to see it again!
