Nicky Wire, bass player with Manic Street Preachers, has called their latest album a wave goodbye.

Britain's Daily Express reports the bassist hinted at goodbyes when taking about their most recent studio album, "Postcards From A Young Man" to NME:

It's genuinely, for the three of us, one of our favorite records. There's just something, there's a sense of us giving it all we've got, and I think we've got to wave our goodbye a bit.

The band will play a special show in London this Christmas, performing all 38 of their singles.

Wire said of the upcoming concert: It's going to be an immense project, production-wise screens, videos, you name it, you know, it'll be a completely unique thing. And we'll never do it again... it's really, kind of, finishing up.

Thanks for the report to Andrew Vaughan, Gibson.com

I hope no one takes this to mean they're splitting up. They're not. They're having a break then want to try something new.
