Miley Cyrus and the Flaming Lips have gotten really close over the past few months, and will now take their relationship a step further with a full-on studio collaboration.
During a brand new Rolling Stone interview, Miley confirmed writing songs with the band for her next album and will join her in the studio as soon as she wraps up her current Bangerz tour.
"On my last record, everything we did was with computers," Cyrus said. "But they're real musicians - they can change keys on a whim. I've never seen anything like it. They've had me on this journey that's greater than anything I've been on. It's really deep."
As reported, Miley and Flaming Lips have already shared stage on two occasions. Furthermore, they have also spent some time in the studio together as a part of the band's "Sgt. Peppers" cover album, with Cyrus performing vocal parts on two tracks - "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" and "A Day in the Life."
