Motley Crue: Vince Neil To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
0
Motley Crue singer Vince Neil will be honored with a "Lifetime Achievement In Rock 'N' Roll" award as part of the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Awards on August 21 in the main showroom of the Las Vegas Hilton. The Las Vegas Sun reports a raft of rockers will salute Vince, including what's expected to be a huge red carpet turnout at the awards, with more than 200 musicians on hand. "We will be honoring Vince with the Lifetime Achievement in Rock 'n' Roll Award, and there is no one that deserves it more than Vince", Vegas Rocks! Magazine Publisher Sally Steele said. "Vince has done so much over the years for charity since he has lived here in Las Vegas and done so many events that has made this town buzz with excitement. It is especially a thrill to me personally to present this award to Vince, since I started this publication seven years ago to honor and glorify my favorite band Motley Crue." "We are also planning on having a secret special guest present Vince's award to him with me, so stay tuned!" Vince is currently on the road with the Mtley Cre/Poison/New York Dolls tour that will play more than 40 shows across North America this summer. Thanks for the report to Hennemusic.com.

Lifetime achievement in having your balls stapled up inside your ass, maybe. I like Motley, but Vince has always been the weakest link, vocally and personally.

Hell Yes. Either him or Nikki. But Mick's just the man (I'd make an Iron man reference, but nah)

Maybe it's because I don't like metal or hair bands, but I don't think Motley Crue is even a remotely important band in the history of music. All the hair metal bands sound identical. They just had a few more hits than the other identical sounding hair bands.

Next thing you know, Ryan Dunn is going to be nominated for a safe driving award.

vince is a good singer but he is a complete prick he killed his mate back in the day and then he goes on another drink and drive the other month he is completely irresponsible and does not deserve the award! plus ready the dirt he was a complete ass when he broke up with the band AND wtf Nikki wrote their songs so how does Vince get the achievement???

ok so I go see a crue concert and the next day they announce Vince is getting a life time achievement award? coincidence? Ya probably, but as many have said..Vince wrote none of the songs and his not even a great front man..from what I saw Tommy knows how to get the crowed into it better! But hey maybe next year I'll win sometime of award for something!

dude i lold hard on that. i never liked motley crue. extremely overrated IMO. im starting to think people just sit around and wonder what to do with their time. Then they come up with these awards that are really just stupid. what does that even mean? lifetime acheivement in rock n roll? vince neil is only known for singing in 1 band. what did he acheive in rock n roll that was award worthy?

the least likely member to receive an award not to mention the fact that hes actually killed someone and had no balls to kick the booze. Wtf man if anyone in motley should get an ward its nikki or mick

A perennial DUI artist, he needs to be locked away in a cell with scott weiland before he kills again.

all yall stop hating,It is very sad that razzel died. But they were both drunk it could have easily been the other way around with razzel driving. No one made razzle get in the car as I believe it was some of the other guys in the band that wanted them to go on a beer run.Vince took respnsibilty for what he did, served his time and paid for it,and still does.He knows he made a bad decission, but so did razzel and the other people who where at the party,he just gets all the blame.

He should get the award for luckiest son of a bitch on earth for killing someone and then not going to prison after putting himself in a similar situation.

This is obviously some Vince Neil self promotion deal as the award is being given by some fan club of Motley Crew in Vegas....give me a break.....

I'm a fan of the Crue, but if anybody should win a rock lifetime achievement award in the band, it's Mick Mars, by a mile. 60 years old, a spine more fragile than a pencil & he's still has the energy to stand upright for 2 hours with a guitar strapped to him. Unreal.

ANY member of Motley Crue is more eligible for this award. They should give him the DUI achievement trophy.

"We will be honoring Vince with the Lifetime Achievement in Rock 'n' Roll Award, and there is no one that deserves it more than Vince" ... Um... sure there are? Razzle most certainly contributed to the music world his whole life. ...Okay that was a little dark and Jesus already made a Razzle joke but still there are plenty more worthy. Kudos for the charity work though. I had no idea he contributed to charity.

Couldn't have put it better myself. So true.

lol, you know it's because he lives in Vegas... I prefer Nikki over anyone else in the band. And Nikki IS Motley Crue.

Vince, make sure you have your designated driver lined up before you go!

i love motley crue, and like Vince Neil but REALLY any of the other members should have the award as they write all the music, Nikki mostly. When i talk about Nikki Sixx or Tommy Lee people go "yeah the XXXXX from Motley?" when i mention Vince Neil I have to explain who he is, which mostly ends up with "the man who killed someone?" what a legacy

The contributions to charity were probably court ordered or done to look good in court because of something else he did

I saw them last night and it was amazing. But I would say Vince is the least deserving of the group.

The only thing this guy deserves is to rot in jail. I love the crue, don't get me wrong but this guy needs to sort himself out.

yeh probably true, whats the point of these awards for anyway, I understand the grammy's and all but its like some people just make these award ceremonies up for just no reason whatsoever other than publicity stunts.
