My Chemical Romance have officially unveiled their final studio song, peculiarly titled "Fake Your Death."

The track comes as the opener of the band's upcoming greatest hits compilation "May Death Never Stop You," due on March 25 via Reprise Records. Make sure to check it out below.

Frontman Gerard Way recently discussed the tune, describing it as a "wave goodbye to all" in an official announcement. "I consider 'Fake Your Death' to be the 'last MCR song,' and to me, it is absolutely the final fully realized collaboration between the members of the band," he said.

Way ultimately concluded, "So it will exist, and it is no cowardly act to release something of this nature, but a service to those who believed in a band that did not compromise, and a wave goodbye to all. And yes, it is f--king heartbreaking. And while I don't believe the lyrics of the chorus today - I did at the time, which to me is a core ingredient to the music of MCR. And it is through that belief, and yours, that we were able to achieve many beautiful things."

"May Death Never Stop You" is available for pre-orders over on iTunes.

They released some great music and there is no shame in calling it quits while you are ahead.
"wait don't leave me!" *walks up and starts licking your ear sexually* I punch him the Pringles Ridges. My thoughts of My Chemical Romance.
It suits the 'goodbye' theme. Good song. I will certainly consider purchasing the Greates Hits in March.
they did a great service for ya there, offering to take your money for a bunch of old songs and one new one.
I almost get the feeling that this is a "fake breakup", and MCR will return under a new monicker. Kinda like what they did with The Black Parade. This breakup was JUST on the heels of them writing a new album. I think they will return with this new album, and some mindblowing stage show under an alias. I just have the weirdest feeling about all this.
As much as I want this to be true so I can see them again (I saw them twice as the Black Parade, but I was out of the country the whole time they toured Danger Days), everything about this break up seems too sincere.
There's been alot of speculation about this, and I'm pretty sure it's just denial.
Decent song, but the music video wasnt that good, (the animation part) like if you're going to release your final studio single and make a video, at least go all out... just my opinion, RIP MCR you guys were great
So they are faking their bands death?
Gerard Way is the kind of pretentious ass who would do something like that. I used to love this band, but not so much these days.
