Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian shared a brief update regarding the band's new studio album, announcing a tentative early 2015 release.

Although Ian has initially shared hopes of the album dropping this spring, the plans have changed a bit, but the guitarist has now stressed that the band will enter studio this fall.

"We should be in the studio by September or October. And then hopefully the record will come out early in 2015," he told Face Culture.

Asked about the style of the new material, Scott jokingly replied, "Anthrax. I don't need to tell anyone what style is it. It sounds like Anthrax."

Further focusing on the group's work ethic, Ian added, "We always go in with the same attitude when we're writing songs or recording or touring. Nothing's changed, the way we work is exactly the same as it was in 1983. We just try and do the best we can. It's been the same attitude since day one."

The latest Anthrax studio effort, "Worship Music," saw its release in September 2011 via Megaforce Records.

Worship music was an awsome album and I considered it the suprise of that year, because seriously I wasn't especting that quality from anthrax, sadly it was clear that the album was made for a singer like Dan Nelson more than Joey, lets see how it goes this time.
Great news, but I was kind of hoping that the album would be released in 2014 instead of 2015.
Awesome! At this point they're the only Big 4 band worth a damn. Megadeth's last album sucked, Metallica's last album (although better) still wasn't great. I need to go into it?
