New Found Glory has parted ways with Geffen/Universal. The band released a number of albums on the label after being upstreamed to MCA from Drive-Thru and then moved to Geffen/Universal after MCA's dissolvement.

New Found Glory has planned an interim release before their next proper full length. They will be releasing a sequel to their 2000 movie-themed EP, From the Screen to Your Stereo, titled From The Screen To Your Stereo Part 2.

Like the previous edition, the disc will feature theme songs from movies. The disc will be released via Drive Thru and represents their first outing with the label since 2000's New Found Glory.

A proper full length on a new label is expected in 2008.

Awesome. Coming Home was a brilliant record - best stuff they've done even though it's different. Tunes like Familiar Landscapes, It's not your fault and On my mind have taken much more of a mature direction. New Found Glory are no longer a pop-punk band. They can pass for a poprock band now.

what's the difference? pop-punk or pop-rock? they're both pop with guitars in them right? no offense, cause i like some nfg stuff, but i honestly don't get the difference between pop-punk and pop-rock. can anyone give me examples or something?

LOL. No, they changed their sound and now their more mature. Most of them are married now. Respect artistic growth - don't knock it. he wasn't knocking it... he was simply saying that people who flame bands in that way are douchebags.

Selling out by moving from a major to an indie? Makes no sense. FTSTYS Pt2 will be awesome! The covers on Pt1 got me into poppunk and I was really into NFG. When I went and saw Green Day, NFG were supporting and they were really good. I can't wait for the new album.

Luke, I was also a huge New Found Glory fan when I was younger. I got back into them recently by looking at my old records. I realised they had a new album out already so I got that and now, NFG have definitely secured a place in my list of Top 10 bands through my life.
