There seems to be something fishy going on with the release of new Opeth album "Pale Communion," as the "Cusp of Eternity" lead single wasn't released this Tuesday (May 6) as officially announced by Roadrunner Records.
Furthermore, pre-orders were also not made available, despite the label's announcement, causing an uproar among fans.
Only one fan complaint on the official Facebook page got a response and it was posted on a post related to Black Stone Cherry, another Roadrunner band. The fan asked when would the pre-orders kick off, just to get a sarcastic reply - "After you buy and listen to this, of course."
Metal Injection did some research on the matter, getting a confirmation from a "reliable source" that "Pale Communion" has been pushed back to August.
The lack of professionalism only got the fanbase more upset, but what makes the matter even worse is that no official explanation has been posted as of yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
