Noel Gallagher has rubbished recent claims that Oasis will be getting back together to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their debut album. Speaking to Rolling Stone (via NME), the guitarist definitively stated that if there is an Oasis reunion, then he won’t be involved:
"We are split up. You've heard that, haven't you? You must’ve heard ... Yeah, so, ergo, band splits up, band is no more. There is no band. So, no, I won't be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won't be in it."
In spite of Gallagher’s comments, Alan McGee, who signed the band to Creation Records in 1993, is confident that the band will return at some point in the future:
"Yeah, I think they'll come back at some point. I don't think it's going to be next year or anything. If they get back together I'm sure it would be for a mega bucks tour."
Who to believe?
