OutKast's Big Boi recently shot down speculations that the popular duo is planning to release new material as a part of the latest 20th anniversary reunion.
As the musician told Revolt TV (via Digital Spy), "No, no, no. We're just doing the tour only, just for the fans. That's all it is, just the tour. It's just the Outkast 20th year anniversary, just a way for us to celebrate with our fans, but there's no album in the works, no."
OutKast are scheduled for multiple major festival appearances this year, including Coachella and Counterpoint gigs in the US and Wireless and Bestival shows in the UK.
The stories of the fresh record began as the band's former manager Queen Latifah directly told Howard Stern that the duo is "about to work on a new album." Latifah was quick to deny such claims, but the rumors still kept circulating the web. "The rumor mill says I predicted an OutKast album... except I didn't," she wrote. "Sorry to get Twitter a flutter."
