this is actually an awesome idea, that'd be awesome wearing a string from someone like cantrell, adam jones, hammett, hetfield, page etc.

I'm sure that anyone whoe's ever been to a Who gig has one of Pete Townshend's strings. Or piece of guitar. Or Amp.

Idea, pretty cool. Price, absolutely f*ckin' ridiculous, even if it's for charity.

James strings are already available for the price of $250 lol

So, 250$ for: recycled string + recycled DVD case + sheet of toilet paper. I'd honestly rather donate those 250$ to some noble cause directly, no strings attached.

After a quick look on the link I discovered that the website spelt Megadeth wrong...

While we're at it, why not a necklace of Rusty Cooley's intestines and a knock-off version of 'Ball in a cup' with Bill Wards eyeballs. No offense to any of them, I just felt like brainstorming brutal fashion statements.

If it's sex then she's charging too much.

I want one made from Randy Rhoads' strings. That'd be worth $250. Aside from that, we may as well all go buy ourselves some packs of "Ernie Ball" strings that Kirk uses, and make them for ourselves for $5 or $6... and then just donate money to charity...

Biggest load of crap ever. A just plain stupid amount of money for a famous guitarists string. If it was their guitar then maybe but their string? Do we even know if this is legit? It's either legal but stupid or illegal and genius.

Well, I'm sure Kirk Hammett could pay you. He does make millions more dollars than you.

I wouldn't pay anymore than I would for the price of a new pack of stings.

I can see my arm hairs getting stuck between the coils of these strings constantly. Doesn't sound appetizing.

Read about this site in a Maxim mag a couple years back, being a hardcore music enthusiast I was like "Hell Yeah" then I saw the price and was like "Hell No" I mean I know its for charity but c'mon a lot of these guys use Ernie Ball strings which are like $5 for a pack of 6 and how many bracelets do you think you can make from a pack. And also are we talking strings they actually used on there guitars for performances or did they just "donate" a pack of strings?

Glad there are strings from different artists. You couldn't pay me to take strings from Kirk (what a complete non-talent).
Good thing you posted that. We were about to offer you money to take strings from Kirk. Saved a phone call!

lol cant really see anyone smart buying this. paying that ridiculous amount for a string that once you sweat on it for a few days it will turn black and rust away. honestly dont give a rats ass if marty friedmans strings were made into bracelets for even $20, this stuff really has no meaning to me.

Probably, it's the exact same thing they do when they try and sell you a "game worn" jersey in sports. Cool, but not 200 dollars cool.

You have a point there haha. It's probably normal to go home with splinters in your face after their show.

I'd sell my soul for some of Vai's strings... Too bad my souls's worth only $148

No thanks...I'll pass! Hammett is overrated to begin with....Now, If it was Dimebag...thats a different story!

Didn't like it at first, then saw them and realised it was for charity and thought 'they actually look cool, and fair cause'. but the prices... what
    shwilly
Lawl, Clapton's are $500 while Claypool and Vai's are just $150 and Petrucci's are even $125 -> I know which ones I'm going for! ...if I had $125, that is

Scott Ian handed me one of his strings. i turned it into a bracelet. but the hair on my arm keeps getting stuck on the coils. but mine is 100% from the artist since i saw Scott used it. i have doubts about this bracelets though,

"Each bracelet is custom made upon order and production time can take up to three weeks before item ships. " 3 weeks? To twist a string and clamp it?
