Periphery guitarist Jake Bowen was asked by The Metal Teddy Bear Experience about the worst job he ever had, to which he replied (transcribed by UG):
"There is this chain of gas stations/convenience stores in upstate New York - I was a merchandiser for one of the districts.
"I've never worked in anything like that and I just realized I was just not cut out for that kind of work. If I get treated badly by a customer, I have an attitude. I'm not a good customer service guy."
He concluded: "That was actually the only job I ever got fired from. It was a good thing 'cause right after I got fired I got an offer to join Periphery back in 2006. So it really worked out."
