The one and only Phil Anselmo definitely might strike you as an old-school kind of guy. Speaking of which, the former Pantera vocalist has recently discussed his traditional ways, pointing out he doesn't even own a phone.

Chatting with Metal Injection, Phil confirmed he "does not own a phone" and that he "swears off technology."

Asked on whether he owns a laptop, the singer gave an affirmative answer, saying, "Yeah, I got a laptop, but that's the only way you can get in touch [with me], I don't ever pick up a phone. [E-mail] is the only way. I don't do Facebook, I don't do any of that sh-t. I know I've got several Phil Anselmo pages, and they're all fake."

During the rest of the chat, Anselmo addressed the upcoming 10th anniversary of Dimebag Darrell's death, saying that "it's a life of mourning. Every year gets tougher. Every year gets tougher. There ain't one f--king thing about losing Darrell that's gotten easier. It's miserable. And that's all I can say."

The interview was packed to the gills with cool stuff, as the singer has also addressed his recent "I'm Broken" performance with Black Label Society and bassist Rex Brown. Although the overall experience was great for Phil, he didn't hesitate to admit that his voice "sucked."

"It felt great. The voice didn't feel great, because I always have that first-week blues. I'm still breaking in the fh-king throat. And then I'm coming from singing the Illegals stuff. It's, like, 'Ah, sh-t.'

"I thought I sucked," Phil added. "I thought [Zakk] was great, I thought his band was great. But the moment itself was fun... incredible. And it's been a long-a-s f--king time since I've seen audience go that bananas and sound that loud. It was f--king loud. A great experience. I loved it."

Phil also discussed the cool reason behind growing a beard, which he will soon cut off, as well as his renowned passion of underground music. Watch the full interview in the clip below.

I wish i didn't have to own a phone. (i have to for work). But yeah i'm a 29 yr old male and don't have a facebook account. People think i'm a bit weird because of it.

Never had a facebook account either but no one's really cared ever since I left high school (younger of course). I think the hype around it has been slowly decreasing.

You realize that this is the internet, and all we see is that you can't spell correctly, right? Who cares if you're a business owner and software engineer and smoke the occasional weed every 3 months?

Are you really allowed to own a business and be that bad at presenting yourself?

"...and I remember when you could go to the cinema and see 3 movies for a penny and all of this was fields as far as the eye could see..." Come into the 21st century old man. Don't worry - it won't hurt.

"One trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. “Give me five bees for a quarter,” you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones" -Abraham Simpson "

Everything's legit and of course he can do whatever he wants but social networks can be a good thing, if you see how tom morello uses his twitter acount to get in touch with fans, it's pretty awesome.

Well, he didn't really say anything bad about phones or social media. He just said he doesn't use them.

"it's a life of mourning. Every year gets tougher. Every year gets tougher. There ain't one f--king thing about losing Darrell that's gotten easier. It's miserable. And that's all I can say." If this were a reality, there'd actually be contact between him and Vinnie Paul methinks.
