If you thought Steven Wilson couldn't top his amazing Porcupine Tree live shows, then be prepared to be blown away as he comes to North America next week for a series of special solo shows in support of his new album, "Grace For Drowning".

This is the second album released under Wilson's own name, and builds on the artistic inroads he forged with 2009's exceptionally well-received "Insurgentes". A double album (two 40-45 minute albums in the same package) Wilson has described it as "my biggest project to date".

Steven, along with Lasse Hoile, just put together a video preview to whet your appetite for the shows. The video features footage from his sold-out European run that ended yesterday. Check it out below.

In addition to the tour dates, Steven has booked three in-store appearances including a special rare acoustic performance in New York City.

I'm just gutted there was only 1 UK date. Didn't fancy going down to London alone on a weekday. The line-up of the touring band is amazing. They MUST release a DVD/Blu-Ray from this tour. GFD is one (or two) of the best albums I've ever heard.

Anything he touches turns out to be good music. If only he could touch Nickelback.

So I was fortunate enough to see Steven Wilson last night at the House of Blues in Orlando. This was Steven's 1st time in North America under his name. Absolutely Stunning.... The show was awesome. John Wesley had to fill in for the original guitarist because he was denied entry into the U.S. Wesley pulled it off well, especially considering he had only played with the band once 4 hrs before the show. My only complaint, the laptop on SW's keyboard blocked the view of him from the left side of the stage when he was playing.
