Legendary synth-pop duo The Postal Service will reunite for this year's Coachella festival. The band, who have been inactive for several years, have recently fueled speculation about their impending return after posting a graphic reading "The Postal Service 2013" on their official website.

Three sources have confirmed that the band is booked to play Coachella, although there is no word yet on whether the band will be writing new material.

The Rolling Stones meanwhile, have stated that they will not be performing at this year's festival, in spite of strong rumors to the contrary. Mick Jagger told that the band is not taking part in the festival, because it's "too early" in their schedule:

"We're not gonna do Coachella, 'cos it's too early. There was a rumour we were gonna do that one, but it's very early, Coachella. It's April or something, isn't it? And we're not gonna be ready to go by April. But we're not gonna stop."

In spite of the Coachella non appearance, both Jagger and Keith Richards have promised more Stones dates for 2013:

Jagger: "I'm going to see what's on the table and discuss it with everyone. We'll announce it when we've figured it out."

Richards: "Really, all you're going to have to do is wait for an announcement."

As far as Electronica/Dream Pop goes, The Postal Service is legendary. They had an album come out on SubPop (After Grunge went away and it went back to being a smaller Indie label) with almost no promotion that went gold soley on word of mouth. "Such Great Heights" has been covered by dozens of other artists from varying from Metalcore to Folk. I have never met anyone who knew who The Postal Service was that appreciated all music that didn't like at least 2-3 songs from them.
