Randy Blythe: How My Life Changed After I Quit Drinking
23

Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe talked about quitting booze, telling Loudwire (transcribed by UG):

"I'm lucky enough I quit drinking. I always tend to bring up drinking whenever I talk about my life, it's such a huge and important part of it.

"When I quit drinking almost seven years ago, it was like - I was still creative while I was drinking, but it was like there was a damp filter on it.

"And when I got sober that was ripped away.

"So my mind is on overdrive all the time. I'm writing, I'm shooting photos, I'm making music... I'm just doing all sorts of stuff. Becoming really engaged with life. Doing a lot of surfing, that provides a lot of balance for me.

"That's the physical sort of balance in life. So, for me, as long as I'm just moving forward and creating things that I think have artistic merit,

"I'm generally a pretty happy guy. Not every day is sunshine and unicorn farts, but that's not the way it is for anyone."

One of the realest mf'ers alive. Much respect and power to him for changing his life for the better. Having said that, the video of him wasted and fighting Mark Morton is hysterical.

The amount of times getting beaten up by Mark Morton probably reduced dramatically.

So... By that logic everyone whos ever pushed an uninvited fan off stage should be charged with attempted murder?

There's a difference between pushing a stagediver back into the crowd and throwing them into a barrier.

That's true... I think manslaughter would be more appropriate though, like when you push or throw the guy you aren't trying to kill him... But its possible I guess lol

You need balance to surf, so I totally get that.
