The life and musical legacy of late guitar great Randy Rhoads will be celebrated at an upcoming event at D'Argenzio Winery in Burbank, California. The celebration is being thrown by Randy's sister, Kathy Rhoads D'Argenzio, in honor of what would have been the musician's 54th birthday.
Randy Rhoads Birthday Weekend will take place 1 to 8 p.m. December 4 and 1 to 6 p.m. December 5 at the D'Argenzio Tasting Room, 1204 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank. In a press release, Kathy says, This special gathering will be a great opportunity for all friends and fans to celebrate my brother's life and to spend time with our family.
Free food and beverages will be served to all guests. The samples will include D'Argenzio's recently released Randy Rhoads Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition, Kathy will be using Randy-related items to decorate for the birthday celebration.
Randy Rhoads' life and musical career were tragically cut short following a fatal airplane crash in 1982. Rhoads, who had come to fame as a guitarist for Quiet Riot and then Ozzy Osbourne, was only 25.
